Overview
"NBCUView" is NBC Universal’s official B2B app. It is used by their executives and authorized users for marketing both TV and Theatrical releases. The app is optimized for streaming content securely on an iOS mobile device as well as a computer that is connected to the internet. In addition, the app is also used as a promotional tool at various annual media events, such as Cannes with its ability to operate in a kiosk mode and project into a second screen using an Apple TV.
Version 2 would bring significant changes to design and functionality of the existing app.

Objectives
UI Redesign
Overall strive for a more elegant design and experience while keeping the existing color theme. Complete overhaul of the design and giving the app a modern look and feel.  Enrich the experience by harnessing the latest visual techniques when possible and appropriate; subtle animations, overlays and blurring.
Navigation
Provide more efficient navigation, specifically ways to improve primary and "back" navigation.
Home Page
Reformat the layout to visually indicate that more content is available below the fold and optimize the number of items displayed.
Network Home Page
Enhance the network home page to function as a parent with a carousel and possible sub categories.

Show Page
Re-organize content and layout for better legibility and aesthetics.  Consider a page both with and without various content elements present.
Downloads
Re-design the download screen. Also refine the workflow how an episode is downloaded and indicating the downloaded state.
User Onboarding
Walkthrough to introduce new features, when first launched.
Improve Kiosk mode / Apple TV support
Unattended mode and ability to project content to an Apple TV enabled device.
Outcome
The Version 2 of the app was launched in February 2018.
